Racing RC Cars

Today I went to the RC Car track as I think it was the first race with the new track. The guys gere are really great and I had a really fun time. I took my car, even though I had no intention of racing it. They told me they really wanted me to... so I raced... if you can call it that! I was pretty pathetic, I had never been on the track before. They grouped the cars by class. Mine is the closest one (with the green and pink). On the left is one class,the center ones were a class and the top 4 were another class. They race for 3 minutes and have a person with a clicker that counts the laps for each car. The one with the most laps wins. If you go outside of the outside guard rail, you are disqualified. If you cross the center rail, you get penalized a lap. I didn't get disqualified, but I wrecked a lot. About 6 cars got disqualified through the afternoon. There was only one other guy who was in my class and we raced twice. He's the guy that is in the lot we will be in next year. Was I any good? Oh my, no. I wrecked a lot in both races. I'm just glad my auto insurance guy wasn't there - or I would have my insurance dropped! Still, it was fun! The guys are great and I'm glad to be part of the group.

Some of them really wiped out! Only a few of them were very good. I don't think any of the cars were disabled though. The cars are incredibly tough! It is a young group and I'm sure we will all get better. All in all, it was a very fun day!
