RC Car & Kim Heading to Indiana

I bought an RC car yesterday. While they have a race track here, I don't think I'm competitive enough to race, but I know I'll enjoy driving it and make some new friends through the hobby. I explained to the guy at the hobby store that I don't really care to race; I just want to have fun and take the car home to play with it and the grandkids. Kim and I were really happy when he knew just the one he would recommend, and then took us out to his truck and got out the one he had just bought and let us drive it in the desert beside the store. He drove it first - and he was CRAZY with it. It will go 50 MPH, but I can pull a jumper off the car, and it cuts the speed in half. That's still way too fast for me! My neighbor across the driveway is a farmer, and I mentioned I bought one, and he said he bought one a few months ago. We both got ours out and played with them on the street while about 6 neighbors watched (we had all been sitting in chairs in a circle). We all laughed so much! It is hard to believe the licking they take and keep running.

Kim got a new bedspread that is Southwest-themed. We both like that look. Annie seems to like it, too. Kim left today for Indiana as our daughter Hannah has a baby due March 5, but is expecting it might come early. I will miss her so. I didn't take Annie with me to the airport, and when I got back and let her out of the motorhome, she kept running in and out, looking for Kim. That's sweet! We will both miss her!!!!!!!

Here's some pretty desert landscaping we saw on our walk. I think there are 1,600 lots or units here.

We met these people last night on our walk. The sun reflector on their windshield has been screen-printed with their boat, which they lived in full-time for 7 years. Now they are full-time in their Newmar Dutch Star (2022). Very nice people. They want to have a get-together with Newmar owners here. The picture below is a blowup of the one above. You can see them in the boat picture! Cool!

I'm going to have to really adjust to Kim not being here. I'll keep you posted on what I'm doing and how Kim is doing in Indiana.
